Steve Grimmett, the lead singer of British heavy metal band Grim Reaper, is no longer with us. He died at the age of 62. Our hearts are with the rock star’s friends and family during this difficult time.

Steve’s brother Mark Grimmett wrote: “I really don’t know where to start so I guess I’ll just come to this with it. It’s with a lot of sadness and a very heavy heart that I have to tell you all. that many of you know him my very talented brother steve grimmett passed away very sad today my heart goes out to millie his wife my mom and dad russell sami and ethan i will miss you more than words ‘Will ever say, love you bro xx”.
Grim Reaper producer Max Norman also commented on Grimmett’s death, “It is deeply distressing to hear that old friend and vocalist for Grim Reaper, Steve Grimmett, has left us … a brilliant singer, and all-around gentleman – You will be missed my friend. Condolences. To Mark and Miley and friends and family – a very sad loss

Steve also led two bands, Lionheart and Onslot, between 1988 and 2006. During a January interview with a media outlet, Steve Grimmett said that the band was working on new material for 2019’s At the Gates.
